Medical Myths

Several years ago, I blogged about the myth that says that we ought to drink the equivalent of eight glasses of water a day.  Now here is an article on that myth and a bunch more.  (HT: Pete Scholtens)

    I knew I was right. My wife gives me trouble all the time for not drinking enough water, but I told her that coffee is practically all water. “Doesn’t count,” she’d say. Well, thank you, Indiana University, quod erat demonstrandum, coffee helps me get my daily water intake!

    Here’s an even bigger myth that not only doctors believe but the NIH and the FDA. Of course, that’s not saying much.
